ProNoun Data is being built to buy or license qualifying operational data from companies and market it to AI developers, marketplaces, and brokers. We aim to identify commercial value while establishing appropriate rights, use restrictions, and handling requirements.
What makes operational data valuable?
Potential value depends on domain relevance, uniqueness, quality, context, usable scale, and current buyer needs. Clear provenance and permission to license are essential. A dataset assessment is not a guarantee of a sale or a specific price.
Do we have to sell ownership of our data?
Not necessarily. A licensing arrangement can define specific rights without transferring underlying ownership. A purchase and a license are different arrangements; the structure, exclusivity, duration, and ownership terms would be negotiated in writing.
